Brigette's story.

Brigette Kaminski is a Canadian designer, creative director, and serial entrepreneur. 

Born in Canada to a Polish mother and a British-Canadian father, Brigette Kaminski was raised with a simple ethos: never be wasteful or superfluous. This became a cornerstone of her namesake brand, KAMINSKA, which she founded in 2023. 

Inspired by her grandmother — she is the third generation of designers in her family. Her love of design began early. As a child, she was drawn to interior spaces, architecture, and natural beauty rituals. Saturday mornings were spent watching fashion shows with her grandmother, Helena—a talented seamstress who hand-sewed much of Brigette’s childhood wardrobe. These formative years instilled a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, high-quality fabrics, and garments made to last.

A writer and natural storyteller at heart, Brigette pursued an undergraduate degree in politics, followed by a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This journey sparked a return to her creative roots—where her passion for design, clothing, and entrepreneurship came together.

With KAMINSKA, Brigette set out to create a brand that blends intentional living with timeless luxury. A signature of the brand is the thoughtful use of natural stones, each one selected for its unique story, symbolism, and energy. 

Harnessing her intuition, ethics and values, Brigette has shaped KAMINSKA into its current iteration—a vehicle for storytelling and personal empowerment. Each collection weaves together inspiration drawn from her travels, life experiences and philanthropy, offering one-of-a-kind pieces that are designed in house.

She is an avid runner, yogi and world traveller. She splits her time between Toronto Ontario and Miami, Florida. 

The beginning.

"Our first pieces were designed in my grandmother's small living room. My mother and I worked on creating and drawing the patterns and my grandmother meticulously hand-stitched all of our first samples. My closest cousin and I wore the samples for months afterward, testing them in every way that we could. It was a really exciting time for us and it was all the more special to be doing it together.

The KAMINSKA label made its debut with the launch of our first signature piece — the New Dream Sports Bra — a game-changing staple that quickly made waves. What began in select Ontario boutiques soon reached international retailers in Costa Rica and the U.S., setting the tone for everything to come.

Selling the New Dream Sports bra was a unique experience because we were the first brand to incorporate natural stones onto a functional activewear bra. We were also one of the only brands to release a high-performing bra made out of an organic cotton.

Pioneering this innovation taught us a lot and made us a stronger team and brand. It was important to us to focus on the customer experience above all else and we are proud of that. We never lost sight of our purpose and stayed aligned with our true values along the way."
