A symbolic name.

The surname "Kaminski" comes from the Polish root kamień, meaning "stone" or "rock"—a fitting origin for a family drawn to the artistry behind stone working. Kaminska, its feminine form of the surname, speaks to the divine feminine force behind the brand. Some call it coincidence. We call it destiny.

Our story

Three Generations of Women

KAMINSKA was inspired by Brigette's grandmother, Helena, who was a fashion designer in Poland before immigrating to Canada in 1964. Brigette's mother, Catherine, is a natural-born artist, who studied fashion design and pattern making.

KAMINSKA is the result of three generations of Kaminski women who are known for their grit, passion, and love of fashion.

Humble Beginnings.

"Our first pieces were designed in my grandmother's small living room. My mother and I worked on creating and drawing the patterns and my grandmother meticulously hand-stitched all of our first samples. My closest cousin and I wore the samples for months afterward, testing them in every way that we could. It was a really exciting time for us and it was all the more special to be doing it together."

Brigette adopted Arielle the Chihuahua in November 2023, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

A pocket-sized muse, Arielle keeps us company in the studio—sparking creativity and reminding us to love deeply. She’s become an essential part of our rhythm: calm, curious, and always curled up in the sunniest, coziest corner.

She has several nicknames including: "pie", "pupzushkin", "mini" and, of course, "Ari".

Her favourite toys are a tiny stuffed panda and a lamb-chop.
